Flamco recently added around 77,600 pages of extra product information to its website. Until recently, technical information about Flamco products was only provided on a general product level, but is now available in depth.
More details
By making specific information available for each item, customers now have access to the expanded ETIM classification, item numbers and item descriptions. Extensive information with regard to dimensions, content, pre-pressure and model information is presented in a clearly laid out table.
Packing information is also shown and will be expanded further in the near future. Not only the dimensions and weight of a single item are shown but also of a packaging, outer container or pallet.
Datasheets
A handy feature on this level of item detail is the possibility to download a datasheet. These sheets contain information on each item as an alternative to the product sheets on each product group.
PIM
Much of this detailed information is contained in a large number of separate systems and datasheets. Managing and compiling this information therefore also poses a considerable challenge. Flamco is invests a great deal in its PIM system (PIM = Product Information Management). This system enables customers to find just the product they’re looking for. Complete and consistent information plays an important role in this.
Good product information is not only very useful but also reduces a good portion of the costs of failure in the construction and installation industry. These costs arise through irregularities in product information. Flamco has been involved in various alternatives for the structured sharing of product data with wholesalers, engineers and installers for decades.
Flamco has been involved in the development, production and sale of high-quality components for use in HVAC systems since 1956. It is part of the stocklisted Aalberts NV, instituted in 1975. Along with Comap, which helps manage water and energy through its thermal and sanitary products that increase comfort in buildings, the Aalberts hydronic flow control business unit was constituted. Stronger together, Flamco and Comap will continue to build mission critical technologies to manage heating and cooling humanly with better financial and environmental efficacy. From source to emitter we partner with our customers to engineer seamless energy efficient hydronic systems for their building requirements.
