For improved quality of our insulating jackets, all Flamco water heaters and storage vessels are now supplied with at least an energy label C.
The separate insulating jackets for water heaters and storage vessels between 200 and 5,000 litres are now manufactured from 100 mm thick Neodul and provided with a polystyrene outer shell.
They are available in 3 different colours. The white and white aluminium versions are provided with a zip. The blue version has a clamping strip. View all separately available insulating jackets in the online catalogue
The insulating jackets for stainless steel (SST) calorifiers from 750 to 1,000 litres have also been improved. The new jackets are manufactured from graphite polystyrene (GPS) insulation with a polypropylene outer shell (fire category B1). This reduces heat loss by 25%.
Flamco has a complete line of indirectly heated stainless steel (SST) water heaters and storage vessels for hot domestic water. The water heaters and storage vessels are manufactured from high-quality, hygienic and low-maintenance stainless steel (SST), type 1.4521. This steel contains molybdenum, making it extremely corrosion-resistant. View all stainless steel (SST) water heaters in the online catalogue
The LS 300, a storage vessel for hot water, is supplied as standard with insulation. This is also manufactured from Neodul and provided with a polystyrene outer shell.
The LS 300 is suitable for connection of external heat exchangers and group systems of multiple heat buffers. The high-quality materials guarantee both optimum corrosion protection and environmentally-friendly heat insulation. View the LS 300 in the online catalogue
According to the ErP directive (Energy-related Products), manufacturers are obliged since 26 September 2015 to supply products, including water heaters and storage vessels, with an energy label.
Ecodesign sets criteria for a product’s minimum energy and environmental performance. Products must satisfy these standards to obtain a CE mark before the products may be sold. Ecodesign aims to ensure that the products meet the minimum requirements regarding energy performance, CO2 emissions and any noise emission standards.
The energy label provides the customer with information about the product’s energy performance. The efficiency classification uses energy categories from A+ to F to indicate a product’s energy efficiency. The directive has recently become stricter, with label G being cancelled and an A+ label being added. All water heaters and storage vessels may no longer be supplied with a label of D or less.
The product must also be supplied with a technical data document detailing the energy consumption. An energy label for the installed system is also required (the package label issued by the installer), depending on the components used (e.g. a water heater, storage vessel and a thermostat).
Flamco has been involved in the development, production and sale of high-quality components for use in HVAC systems since 1956. It is part of the stocklisted Aalberts NV, instituted in 1975. Along with Comap, which helps manage water and energy through its thermal and sanitary products that increase comfort in buildings, the Aalberts hydronic flow control business unit was constituted. Stronger together, Flamco and Comap will continue to build mission critical technologies to manage heating and cooling humanly with better financial and environmental efficacy. From source to emitter we partner with our customers to engineer seamless energy efficient hydronic systems for their building requirements.
