An expansion vessel must last a long time. Obviously you can extend the service life with maintenance. But why not achieve more, with less effort? This is possible thanks to a new membrane that almost doubles the life span and is even environmentally friendly.
Flexcon Premium is so future proof that the user gets a 15 year warranty.
Flexcon Premium is good for the installer, the user and the environment. The new generation of expansion vessels from 2 to 80 litres is much more sustainable. Both in terms of service life and environmental performance. Thanks to a unique plastic membrane, less maintenance is required, the expansion vessel lasts longer and Flamco saves on raw materials and energy.
Flexcon PremiumFlexcon Premium is the successor of Flexcon and Flexcon Top. The new Premium expansion vessels do not have a rubber membrane, but a plastic membrane made of thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO). Tests show that the new membrane is of the same high quality as its predecessor. Flamco therefore makes no concessions to the great flexibility and low permeability that its membrane guarantees.
The environmental performance of the new membrane is
much better and TPO can be burned cleaner or recycled
into products more effectivly than rubber. In addition,
the plastic membrane is much lighter because it requires
up to 50 percent less material. This saves raw materials,
energy and fuel (transport) and results in a large
reduction of CO2 emissions.
Flamco also saves a lot of energy in the production of the new expansion vessels. In addition to the membrane, Flamco has also made other aspects more sustainable. For instance, the design of the expansion vessel has been adapted somewhat and the packaging and user manuals have been optimised. With this integral, circular approach Flamco takes a large step to a smaller ecological footprint.
Phased delivery available
For the time being, Flamco only uses the new membrane in its expansion vessels from 12 to 35 litres. It will gradually replace the existing expansion vessels (Flexcon and Flexcon Top) in phases, with Flexcon Premium, from the middle of 2019.
Flamco has been involved in the development, production and sale of high-quality components for use in HVAC systems since 1956. It is part of the stocklisted Aalberts NV, instituted in 1975. Along with Comap, which helps manage water and energy through its thermal and sanitary products that increase comfort in buildings, the Aalberts hydronic flow control business unit was constituted. Stronger together, Flamco and Comap will continue to build mission critical technologies to manage heating and cooling humanly with better financial and environmental efficacy. From source to emitter we partner with our customers to engineer seamless energy efficient hydronic systems for their building requirements.
